The 7 Best Toronto Locations for Family Photos (Season by Season)

After hundreds of family sessions across the GTA, these are the locations we keep coming back to — and exactly when to book them.
1. High Park — late April to early May
Cherry blossom season is Toronto's worst-kept secret, so we shoot it on weekday mornings at 7am, before the crowds. Miss the blossoms? The park's oak savannah is gorgeous straight through October.
2. Humber Bay Shores — golden hour, year-round
Skyline behind you, lake beside you, and the best sunset light in the city. The arched bridge and wildflower patches give you three different looks in a hundred-metre walk.
3. Scarborough Bluffs — summer evenings
The closest thing Ontario has to a coastal cliff shoot. Bring shoes for the beach section — the payoff is worth sandy socks.
4. Trinity Bellwoods — October
Peak autumn colour plus that lived-in west-end feel. Great for families who want their session to look like their actual Saturday.
5. Evergreen Brick Works — rainy-day insurance
Industrial texture, greenery and covered areas — our go-to when the forecast betrays us.
6. Toronto Islands — summer, all day
The ferry ride is half the session — kids are never more photogenic than when boats are involved. Book a morning crossing and beat the rental-bike rush.
7. Your living room — newborns and winters
The most underrated location in the city. Window light, the nursery you designed, the dog on the couch — home sessions age better than any backdrop.
Want help choosing? Every family session includes location planning around your season, light and kids' nap schedules.
